It's true. I have a copy of it. He sings a duo with a new up and coming country singer named Charlie Allen. Word has it that the song is gonna be released on the bonnaroo web site soon. The first verse goes like this.
Ole Chief Ross runs a pretty tight town. For 51 weeks he lays the law on down. But theres that one week in the middle of June. He tries to keep the peace but there aint no use
(Hank Sings) Traffic backs up on I-24 People from the south and people way up North Headed on down to Manchester Tennessee For a wild four day Party.
They call it Bonnaroo! 4 Days of Country, Rock and Blues With a Coffee County Attitude.
There are 3 verses to the song. Chief Ross is Ross Simmons. He is the Manchester City Chief of Police. It mentions Ashley Capps in the second verse. A local police officer gave me a copy and told me the news. I'm going to post it on myspace soon so everyone can hear it. I bet Hank Jr. will be added to Bonnaroo this year. He lives in Paris Tennessee (about 3 hour drive). Anyways, I just wanted the good people on inforoo to hear the news first.
