2006: Radiohead, and part of Phil 2007: Listened to Police from camp, skipped Tool to get front row at the Superjam, and saw about 10 minutes of WSP
Honestly, I kinda wish that Pearl Jam was closing out the Festival, that way I could skip the headliner on Friday and Saturday to get a great seat at the late nights

2006: Radiohead and Tom Petty 2007: Part of The Police
The nice thing about Bonnaroo is that you don't have to care about the headliners to have fun time, especially given how long the set times are compared to Lolla or Coachella. So if you care more about a band that's lower on the bill, its not like they only get 45 minutes to play.

'04: Trey Anastasio (slept through The Dead on accident; too messed up for Dave Matthews and Friends (rookie mistake)) '06: Tom Petty, Radiohead, left before Phil and Friends '07: Tool, The Police, left Sunday morning
It's a bit ironic. I remember in 04 or 05 The Beacon had an article giving advice for first timers and one of the things they recommended was passing on an artist you've seen a bunch of times to check out something new. By continually putting WSP in a headlining slot they deny us that option because they are constantly unopposed.
