Who felt it? I was sitting here reading inforoo, and at first I thought it was just my fat cat jumping off the counter until I realized the whole house was shaking...my reaction...WTF!?!
Turned on the TV to find the news people had no idea what had happened for about five minutes either.
"Music has always been a matter of energy to me, a question of Fuel. Sentimental people call it Inspiration, but what they really mean is Fuel. I have always needed fuel. I am a serious consumer. On some nights I still believe that a car with the gas needle on empty can run about fifty more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio."

Thanks, cupcake, for the link. I filled out the form.
It woke up my entire family of four just south of Nashville. Mild shaking, but exciting nevertheless. Brought back memories of living in LA for 10 years (even during the 94 Northridge 6.8 quake).

Ok so I live in West Lafayette (I go to Purdue) and it woke me up. My entire bed was shaking and my ginormous mirror almost came off the wall. And my brain doesn't function for like the first 10 minutes I'm awake...so my first thought when I woke up and my bed was shaking was that The Exorcist was real. So I spent a good 5-10 minutes sitting in my bed hugging my pillow freaked out thinking that I was going to be possessed. Then my brain finally kicked in and I felt incredibly stupid...but I thought that the people on here would enjoy that story ;D

I was staying in a hotel in Evansville Indiana the morning of the quake! The room and windows shook so hard that I woke up out of a dead sleep and thought I was experiencing a tornado. There was enough noise that I leaped out of bed into the bathroom thinking that I needed to get to shelter a quick as possible. After it quited down I sat down on the bed and realized that not only was the bed vibrating still it was moving back and forth horizontally. It was very spooky being in a dark room and away from home. It actually lasted almost 40 seconds. After I looked out the window and realized that it was not a storm it took me a minute to convince myself that it was not a paranormal experience. After I heard other guest in the hall I realized that we had an earth quake. About 4 hours later we also experienced a 4.2 aftershock that shook pretty good also. It was a nerve racking experience. The footage of the newscast that was going on live in Evansville at the time of the quake gives you a pretty good idea of what it was like, if I can find this footage I will post it later.
Here it is. Notice the weatherman trying to explain it away. He has no idea what is going on, you can really see the traffic camera shaking. It was a dead calm morning there was not any wind at all. Kind of gives you an idea of what it was like. Think about being sound asleep and waking up to that.
