I'm over Thursday's announcement "tragedy." Now I am back to being excited about who I will see that weekend. As you can see on the poster, it still says more acts to be announced. They could be little or big, who knows. But as someone else mentioned on the board here, the Superjam announcement could be a doozey as well. But at least we know there is still more coming. It seems like the Superjam has become more important over the last 3 years. The Trey/Mike superjam, and last years superjam. Both pretty big deals for those years. Maybe we get something special for it. I know, I cling to hope. But what else can you do?

Seriously I know it was a let down because we all had our hopes up for something specific but if you look at the lineup I guarantee that you'll find 20 shows easily that you want to see. That's going to be hard to in one weekend believe me. So enjoy what we have given to us already.
IDK, I'm super excited. I'd take Claypool over ABB, as blasphemous as that may be. I've seen both live and Claypool does a great show, ABB is good but that drum solo put me to sleep...I'm also psyched for all the headliners, including Metallica and JJ, and I had no problems with JJ closing out the fest I really love his music, but going on before PJ is fine too. I just hope I can see all I want to!
ABB cancellation was a real pity IMO... but that's almost wrong because I wish Allman all the best in his speedy recovery.
I just think the ABB is a huge name... and basically everything from ABB and up could be a headliner at a Lolla/ACL type festival.
But yea... this is a great lineup from top to bottom. I'd like to see a few more relevant bands pop onto the lineup... someone like Kate Nash, Conor Oberst and the Mystic Valley Band, or another upcoming band with a new CD out/coming out.
Whether we have ABB or not, we lose a potential Warren Haynes superjam (or do we since it is still open for him) and possibly guest spots. However, think of the possibilities Les and Widespread bring. Les will hopefully make the Metallica show worth see, the Superjam just got a bassist that can collaborate with anyone and guest potential for all the shows this year are endless since so many bands have ties to each other and a history (ex. DUMB, JJ and PJ, Kanye+Lupe+Talib+MIA, Robert Randolph and any musicians within the southeast, B.B. with anybody (sleeper to join Raconteurs) and a Superjam that could destroy any imaginations). This Bonnaroo has so much potential and the spirit will be so cohesive on stage and off I have a inkling this year. See you in Manchester
I agree. I look at all the Superjam potential on the lineup and I just smile. I mean, might we have one of the greatest jazz musicians of all time sharing the stage with the lead singer from Led Zeppelin? Or maybe Jack White and Les Claypool jamming out together? Who knows. All I know is, I'm excited as hell for June, no matter what the nay-sayers say.

Between Wilie, Sigur Ros, Raconteurs, MMJ, Les, ZPZ and so many others I am not heartbroken in the least. I will always be disappointed about the way SF handled the announcement, but that doesn't make me any less excited for June.
