So who out there spins poi? There's probably already a thread about this, but my search button won't work for some reason.
I just got a set about two months ago, busted my nose with it, and didn't start picking it up again until about a week ago. All I know is the butterfly and some reel turns.

Any good websites or videos out there for learning new stuff? Poipoi.com has some decent instructional videos, but other than that I haven't really found anything.

Ooh ooh ooh me!
Actually, I like glowstringing more than poi, mostly because I go to a lot of techno shows, lol. I'm halfway decent, I can do butterflies (in front and behind my back, and one handed), weaves, helicopters (I think that's what they're called), wraps and I'm in the process of learning some other stuff too. It's so much fun!
Although, it's easy to get discouraged when you get hit...I have whelps and bruises from a few instances...and one time a glowstick caught me right between the eyes...no fun. Sucks.
www.homeofpoi.com is a great website, the videos can be hard to follow sometimes though. Also, www.glowstringing.com is good if you want to learn how to do that.
