there is a thread about absinthe already and i think the vote is that its too sweet and nasty for roo.....and it does NOT make you trip....idk where that ever came from

dont feel bad, i had the same idea. wanted to use it as a "break the ice" with neighbors - but it seems it might be a bit heavy especially if people are already drinking something else.
lol....cant be worse than a snake shot from south korea.
Ingredients: One aquarium with soju full, 2 or 3 drowned poisonous snakes of some variety, pickled in the soju............................Smelled and tasted dead....
Don't know about Absinthe but I will be bringing some Moonshine. Its been in my freezer for about 2 months. I just keep opening up the freezer door and staring at it. I am trying to save it but I am very tempted.

we have absinthe at the bar i work at. its not bad if you do the whole 'dripping water over the burning sugarcube' thing but it can give you a real nasty hangover.

I'm sure if you drink enough of anything thats 100 proof you'll start to hallucinate.
Hey I am new here. I make my own absinthe, I will bring some. I just don't know if i could get into some trouble for having that there an dgive it away. I am not from here.
Absinthe really doesn't taste that bad...kinda has a jager taste to it, but a bit stronger. I ordered a bottle online a few years back and it didn't make me "see the green fairy" but it opened my mind and made things appear a little different(nothing that crazy). I only had 4 shots in one night so I just assumed thats why I didn't get too much of an effect. I loved it, and cant wait to order another bottle...bit pricey though..
My friend swears by this crap. He does the whole flaming sugar cube over the glass doused with water thing and all. I tried it and it certainly does taste awful, but I powered through a number of them because I was curious. I gotta say it was slightly different than being normally drunk, but only slightly and not nearly enough to make that taste worth it. In fact the difference was so small it could just as easily have been psychological.
But I've also heard that most of the stuff you get online isn't really made with the wormwood or whatever, and that if you get the real stuff it can be hallucinogenic. All I know is that while caps also taste like poo, I still think they taste better than absinthe and there's little question as to their effects.
