NBC wasn't expected to announce it until next month, but word has leaked to Fox News that Jimmy Fallon is set to take Conan O'Brien's job as host of "Late Night" in 2009 when O'Brien takes over "The Tonight Show" from Jay Leno, who is leaving as host in May, 2009.

I'm getting to a point in my life where Conan's new time slot will be more convenient myself.

When I first heard that Conan was taking over Leno's show, I was rooting for Tina Fey. But then 30 Rock came along.
Out of all the possible replacements, why Jimmy Fallon? Jeebus.

I'd prefer nearly anyone else, with the possibly lone exception of Dane Cook.

Then again Conan has very big shoes to fill both literally and figuratively and I don't know many people who could win me over like him.....But Fallon is a poor attempt

Jimmy Fallon on SNL was an Adam Sandler ripoff. He did the little songs and characters much like Sandler did. The difference is that Adam Sandler was actually funny whereas Jimmy Fallon is annoying.

I'd rather have them bump Carson Daly up to the new time slot instead of Jimmy Fallon.

i don't have any problem w/ jimmy fallon...he's a younger comedian and imo will grow on most peeps...hes not my first choice, but there is no use in bitchin' now. i'd say in this setting, forget about the old fallon and give the man a chance.

my first choice of course would be david cross.
