Music fest Vegoose is one cooked goose Attendance at Halloween event was uneven By Joe Brown
Tue, Apr 29, 2008 (2 a.m.)
Make other plans for Halloween in Las Vegas: The annual Vegoose Music Festival will not be presented this year. Not at the end of October or any other time.
“We’re not doing it,” Daren Libonati, director of UNLV’s Thomas & Mack Center and Sam Boyd Stadium, said Monday. “(Vegoose producers) are still trying to figure out what we’re going to do or not do, but it doesn’t look like we’re going in that direction.” The event still appears on the roster of upcoming events at LasVegasEvents.com; the Vegoose.com Web site has not been updated with information for 2008.
I was starting to think that Superfly was going another direction with the Outsidelands Festival in late August. But only time will tell. They never update that site till after Bonnaroo when they announce the dates there. Hope it still goes on but given last years turn out I am almost betting its 'goose is cooked.'
i might have to check out their site ... never been ... wasnt last year the first year for echo? vegoose was always our end of summer fest show, makes me sad ....cr****
Yep...depending on when Echo falls this year...it and VooDoo will get more attention because of this....I just wonder if they will schedule the same weekend

i dont understand why nobody went last year daft punk and rage. i didnt go cause i wanted to be 21 for my first time in vegas i had planned on going this year i turn 21 a few days before oh well hope voodoo or echo have amazing lineups to make up for no goose.
Rumors are everywhere that there's no Echo Project this year. Supposedly, he's taking a year off to check out European festivals and then come back in 2009 with the festival being much better managed (and not lose the bazillions he lost in 2007).
