So I dont have my pics uploaded yet, but here are a few that my sister took to hold you over til I get mine on my computer. Ill also edit this post with more info on what I did and saw there as I get my pictures up.
here is a picture of Cesaria. This was by far one of my favorite places i saw in Israel. Its basically Roman ruins - but in Israel. Simply breathtaking. now cesaria is pretty rich. there are golf corses and a beach resort and such (of which i took pics of ill show u later)
more cesaria:
this was at the bahai temple gardens - in Haifa. sooo unreal and gorgeous. this is the view from the top of the gardens. i got better pics of the gardens tho...so more to come.
me and my sister floating in the dead sea: (which by the way is the lowest point on the earth!!!) see those mountains behind us? thats Jordan. the country line is literally in the center of the dead sea. i kept thinking there are people in jordan across the way, floating the same way we were ;D
MORE PICS TO COME!!! more pics of The Wailing Wall and the Old City, Masada, the Dead Sea, me riding a REALLY HEADY camel, etc etc etc etc...when i get my pics up..
Wow, that looks so gorgeous. I'm hoping to go next summer with Taglit Birthright.
i was such an a-hole and never did birthright. i sooo wish i did tho. now im too old. i highly suggest for all you Jews out tehre to do it. its a flipping FREE trip to Israel!!! i think you can do it even if your half jewish. anyways it was awesome. also i want to add ive never seen so many dreaded, gorgeous people in my life! Israel is like 90% hippy.
Cesaria is cool. Always wanted to see pics of it as it is supposed to be so cool.
I believe it was Pontias Pilates main home. That's why he was always so mad when he had to go to Jerusalem during Passover to keep an eye on the Jews. He thought Jerusalem was a dump by comparison.
Can't wait for more pics.

DAMN FREE TRIP!!! Someone in my family has to be Jewish!!! Why doesn't the Vatican do this! I would like to see Rome...
As my Inebriated buddy walks out of the Porto, he yells out, "Dude...I love this place...bonnaroo thinks about everything...they even put beer holders next to the toilet!"
Had to break it to him that that was the urnal. Good times good times!
Great pictures, it looks breathtaking. I'd love to go anywhere outside the country to be honest. The farthest I've been from home is Chicago I believe............pretty sad
Can't wait to see more!

"I just got fragged by a non-working speak." 5 Roo's and counting
I think.. correct if im wrong.. if yo momma is jewish you're considered fully jewish. If yo daddy is jewish and yo momma is not then you're half
Yeah, religion generally is passed down through the mother, although I have several friends who have a Jewish father and a gentile mother and still consider themselves Jewish. I think if you have a Jewish mother, you are automatically Jewish in the eyes of the synagogue, and that if you have a Jewish father, you need to have a bar/bat mitzvah to be considered Jewish by the synagogue.
That being said, don't take my word for it. I mean, I'm a really bad Jew. I've been to temple only a handful of times in the last ten years, mostly for bar/bat mitzvahs and sometimes on the anniversary of my grandfather's death. I never had a bar mitzvah, I love shellfish and pork, and I mix meat and dairy all the time. I make inappropriate Jew jokes with my Jewish friends, and I don't think I've ever observed all the rules for the Sabbath and high holy days. It's okay though, hell's going to be a party!
the pics are just beautiful - I am not sure what I was expecting - maybe desert??? But the gardens are AMAZING! and the wall - OMG the wall - how awe-inspiring was it???

^its quite amazing to be able to go from desert, to the beach, to the green mountains within hours. its no wonder people have faught over the land for ages!!!!!!
the wall, my mom and dad kept on pushing me to feel some sort of 'religious connection' when i went there. i will say its amazing to see that its still standing - and it goes on for FEET underneath the ground -
the thing that got me when being in the old city and at the way is that all around you- you have different religions going on. the Dome of the Rock is literally within feet of the wall. I find that to be quite outstanding. ;D
i think that pic 14 in album 2 is a really good pic of you
chillaxed.
riding a camel is kinda fun - its wierd how they get up and down differently. i fell off one...twice...while attempting to ride one with no saddle in india

that's correct. Technically, one cannot be half Jewish. You're only Jewish if your mother is or if you've had a bar/bat mitzvah.
My dad was Jewish, my mom not so much. But I do consider myself half Jewish - and specify that I mean culturally when people give me sh*t about it. And in my family it's much more about the culture than the religion anyway

see - I understand what you mean about the wall - I don't know that I would feel the whole religious connection thing - but the fact that it has been there for soooo long - that is just awesome!!!
I'll say it again - all of your pictures are awesome and I love the thing you said about the Dead Sea and Jordan and thinking that there were people over there floating in it the same way
