I'm bringing a pair of galoshes (knee/calf high rubber boots) to wear in case it rains.
I don't relish the thought of 80,000 people worth of human excrement mixed with mud under my toenails for 24 hours or more. Don't get me wrong. I love people. Just not that crazy about what comes out of them.
However I'm wondering if they will be worth it. I'm thinking they will be ultra-hot (not the good "hot"), somewhat hard to walk in and make my feet feel about 100 lbs.
Has anyone who has been to ROO IN THE RAIN tried these? Am I just wasting my space bringing them?
If it gets anything like 2004 I would say they are a must have. I'm going to watch the weather just before I leave and decide then, but I will be backpacking/greyhounding. If I was arriving by car I would 100% bring a pair. Standing in 1 foot deep muck watching Primus at 2am is imprinted in my brain forever. And some quality knee high socks.

I think I brought mine last year, but of course never wore them since there was no rain. I never got out of flip flops last year. This year it's going to depend on the weather, like chilly said, but I don't THINK I'm going to bother. I don't really want to have to bother with socks, and like you said boots would be sooo hot. And mud will wash off of my sandals and my feets.
I would definitely bring them. Like other people said in 2004 when it rained there was a muck latenight and I couldn't tell what was mud and what wasn't. It really made me not want to hang out. If anybody is interested, these are some really comfortable rubber boots. www.xtratufboots.com/
I like the clippie because the top is ajustable. My roommate has one without that, and they are about the same as if you have mine pulled all the way tight. You can let these out if you want.

ahh - that is good to know - that is what I could nto figure out from the pic and I have not actually been to Target to look at them for realz yet
Target has lots of cute girly ones! I bought these!
OMG! Those are SO cute, I just went to Target and bought some myself! I can't wait for it to rain at Bonnaroo so we can both be hella cute!
But seriously, my black, incredibly masculine and amazingly macho (they have steel toes and titanium spikes for kick-hunting buffalo in the rain, and they have eyes that constantly stare at boobs) have never failed me at Bonnaroo.
Okay, so I wasn't serious about anything except that they're black and have never failed me.
hey i actually packed a pair and never used them..however in centeroo last year there was a vendor that had some of the sickest ones ive ever seen..they had black ones with swallows and roses and blue with anchors and o there were so many i didn't get a pair bc i already have some but worse comes to worse hopefully they will be back!
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
