I LOVE all the cars on the road with Roo or Bust ;D or whatever painted all over them on the Road to Roo... but, I'll NEVER do it, only cause it seems like a good an AWESOME way for the Fuzz to single a guy out and tear apart the car on the side of the road But I'm glad so many others are willing to take the risk proud to add to the atmosphere!!! LOVE IT!!! ;D ;D ;D Bonnarooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!
No! Unless the thought of getting pulled over on the way to Roo is pleasing to you - don't do it. Every year it's the same thing - people with Bonnaroo or Bust or whatever written all over their vehicles are basically the only vehicles we see pulled over. Keep it like a secret - until you get on the farm.
I have said this before in other threads. That is the kind of thing we looked for. You have just put a police bullseye on your vehicle with that stuff. Fly under the radar and all will go well for you.
Yeah - it is a shame - but it's all part of the game. If you have nothing to hide then go for it if you really want - but otherwise it is a really bad idea.

Still, even if I have nothing to hide, I really don't wanna be pulled over and searched.
Writing on your car is like wearing a giant flashing "PULL ME OVER!" sign.

Yeah, even with nothing to hide... I won't even put the free Roo bumper sticker on my vehicle... I hate even having camping gear piled up in the backseat, and try to look like out of state "respectables" just going camping... SOMEWHERE ELSE... until I finally make it into line

Just don't do it
Yeah - I'm in no way encouraging anyone to do it even if there is nothing to hide - because getting pulled over and searched sucks either way - just saying if someone decides for some reason they have to do it - you better be damn sure you have nothing on you because you're more likely than not getting pulled over.
Heh, last year the giveway was the cars that were rediculously dusty... I guess if you really wanted to avoid being pegged as a Bonnaroo goer, you should have found the nearest carwash after leaving...
I dunno, I've known of cars with writing on them not to get pulled over. It's your call. If you do write on it, though, I would advise you to drive the speed limit and use your blinkers.
I agree not to advertise where you are going. I have found though that the dangerous areas are the states not getting any of the Roo revenue like KY. They are picking up folks to get in on the act. So lay lowwwwwwwwwwwwww. In Tenn they seem mostly to only go after real idiots with a few exceptions of course.

Last year we carried a portable white board that we could write messages on and flash them at obvious roo colleagues on the road. It was a lot of fun passing the time and we could lap it when danger arose.
That's a great idea! Much more creative, I'd get a kick out of seeing somebody flash a dry erase board at me through their window with whatever they wanted me to read. Much better idea than writing PULL MY ROO BOUND A$$ OVER across the rear windshield.
^^^this - we falshed our tickets at obvious roo goers last year - trust me - you learn pretty quick how to figure out who is ging to Roo when you pass them or they pass you
but if you wanna paint up your car - I say go for it - for me - the more people that do it are just keeping the police busy so that we can drive on through at the speed limit without being noticed by the police.
