A friend will be driving a van from Chattanooga with all our gear We will ride our bicycles on rt 41. Its about 65 miles should take about 4 hours Leaving on wed Any interest?????
Have you ridden this route before? I've not been on it but I know thw Interstate goes over Monteagle mountain and would be quite a bicycle ride. Maybe 41 goes around it or something but I'd check before I headed out as that mountain would make the ride more than 4 hours.

i would like to see more people come on bikes, i cant though... i need 10 hours to get there driving 80 mph the whole way. it would be pretty amazing to bike for 4 days through the country and camp along the way. but, i dont think id be able to make it back.

^^No, they won't.
From Bonnaroo.com: - No bicycles or scooters or personal motorized vehicles will be permitted into the festival grounds (This includes, but is not limited to: golf carts, ATV's motor scooters, and powered skateboards). -NOTE: You will, however, be able to park your bicycle or scooter at any festival entrance via bicycle racks. Please note that the festival is not responsible for your bike/scooter and that you will not be able to move your bike/scooter unless you are leaving the festival grounds
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
instead of "the bikes will prolly be confiscated at the gate",i should have said:"no bikes will be allowed into the festival grounds, however, you may "voluntarily" park your bike at the gates,to be left fro the most part, unattended, haphazard at best, for four days, with absolutely no guarantee it will be there when you get back"...
thats what i should have put.
either way,it aint gettin in to roo...and in my hasty generalization,i deduced that if a guy is serious enough a cyclist to ride from chattanooga to manchester the back way,hes prolly serious enough a cyclist to invest into a bike costing upwards into the thousands of American dollars, and the likelihood of leaving said bike unattended would be a conundrum a responsible adult should consider before making such decisions..
sorry for any "misinformation" ....
