i am deeply upset that i cannot attend bonnaroo 2008 but i plan on going in 09...it would be my first bonnaroo and im pretty sure i know what to expect but i have a few questions, i plan on bringing camping supplies, which should i bring and which should i leave at home, secondly when u buy tickets online, is there a print out or are the tickets sent to you, and lastly when i get there and enter the camp ground, can i go to whatever shows i want or is it controlled
wander around Inforoo - check out all the sections - all the answers you want are here and if you are not going until 2009 - then you have plenty of time to read and anticipate

Wow, you are really on the ball with these plans!
The threads Meg and Becca linked to will be of lots of help, but to answer a couple of your questions really quickly...
You will get an actual ticket mailed to you, most likely towards the end of May. It's always a huge awesome looking thing that's meant to be saved, treasured, and framed! There's a bit at the end that they tear off but the biggest part of it you get to keep.
And you can absolutely go to whatever shows you want! From the campgrounds you just have to get into Centeroo, which just involves getting through a little security checkpoint. Once you're in Centeroo you can wander about wherever you want. The comedy tent and the jazz tent have actual seats and so they have limits on how many people can be in there, so you do have to wait in line in order to get in there, but the other venues you can come and go as you please.

not to be a weiner or anything (even tho I'm going to be) but why don't you try looking around for 2 seconds before posting a question like this, I mean the answers to all these questions are even on bonnaroos web site.
My advice is to not planning until december. I know if i would have been planning a 'Roo trip for 13 months, my head would explode in anticipation way before i got to the farm.
I would suggest getting as many friends on board with the trip as possible. Since there are so many things to do and see, your friends might have different agendas. With more people, it eliminates having to attend certain shows by yourself, or sitting at camp by yourself waiting for others. I was really lucky that i went in a group of 13 my first year.
Also, when you see lists of what to bring to bonnaroo, take it to heart. a shade tent is way more of a necessity than you would imagine, if you're from the north like myself.

i havent seen the whole movie but the part of the allure of freaks is there is not really makeup or anything as there would be in todays movies. all the freaks are themselves
"Freaks" is a classic. So glad it made a comeback in the 80's with the release of VHS. The cigarette dude, the dancing freak ladies, the ending. Freaky!
