How bad has the heat been? How do you deal? This is the one thing I'm dreading might actually ruin the whole experience for me. Sweating forever and ever isn't my idea of fun, at all. But everything outweighs it.

its hot. you cant escape it...wear really light flowy clothes...drink plenty of water. i passed out from heat during cold war kids last summer. thankfully we had a RV so i was able to shower and relax in the AC for a bit. but if you dont have that, its pretty impossible to escape it... make sure you have shade at your camp site too. also mist tents, water squirt fans, water guns, etc help
(sorry if i scared you but i want to be honest and make sure your prepared!!)

No I appreciate it!! Thanks! You definitely did scare me, but I think I'm worried enough where I'm going to be proactive towards preventing severe discomfort.
Relax. Yes, it's hot. Yes, it's sticky. Yes, if it rains, it get stickier. Yes, if it's dry, you can hardly breathe. However, there are lots of shady areas to rest and/or nap. There are also misting tests and you can get some good hydration there. Also, once the sun goes down, the air gets really nice. Bring a misting fan with you and extra batteries and you'll be fine. Don't think about how the heat may ruin things (glass half empty) rather think about the possibilities of meeting cool people while resting in the shade (glass half full). Also, don't worry about sweating or being stinky, 95% of the crowd will be gross too! One piece of super secret advise.... the Blue Room Cafe at the back of the main stage is usually pretty quiet. It's a great place to have a cold drink, take a nice seat and chill to good music.

I knooooow :/ I'm trying hard not to think about it. I'm sure I'll be so enamored with the whole fest (hell, I've been looking forward to this for 2+ years now) that it won't be a big thing. I just hope for at least a tiny bit of rain, somewhere. Also, thanks for the tip about the blue room. I'll definitely keep it in mind.
Oh -the nights make it all worth it!!! And like they said - you can find a shady spot under a tree and hopefully there will be a breeze - it is hot - but bearable because of the awesome place you will be!
I'm like you Queensolver. I cannot stand heat. I can't take 20 below weather but 80 degrees is hot for me and it's in the 90's and humid at Roo. As much as I hate the heat, Roo is well worth it.
I manage by staying hydrated and limiting activities during the heat of the day (I'm a late night person anyway.) Shade and water are a must. The air conditioned tents are also a nice break if the heat really gets to you. I also find a cool bath in the troughs as the sun goes down does wonders at refreshing you for the evenings.
At least the last few years have been cool at night. In '02 and '03 it was so hot and sticky at night I couldn't sleep at all. And the days were close to 100. The last few years we've had a drought which help keep the humidity down but it's still pretty humid. A lot worse than NH.
All in all, don't worry. Just respect the heat and don't overdo it during the day. Find some shade near the stage you like and enjoy yourself.

You sort of....just deal. I don't know exactly what to tell you, because there really isn't much you can do. Make sure you drink enough water, don't overdo it and exhaust yourself. Other than that...I really don't know, it's just like....there's nothing you can do, so you just deal with it. You really won't be worried about being disgustingly sweaty or anything. Not an issue. Everybody will be disgusting.
