There is no time limit on the pay showers. The floor is gross when you get out of the shower. Lots of dirt and almost a half inch of standing water on the floor so you'll definitely want some crocs or thick flip-flops to step into straight out of the shower.
The showers are segregated by sex. No boys in the girls and vice versa. The shower stall seems a little small for two people. I'm sure they wouldn't mind if someone (of the same sex) got in the stall with you, but you'll both have to pay the $10.00 fee I'm pretty sure.
$10.00 seems expensive. But I took two showers last roo and it was the best $20.00 I spent all weekend.
I took one Friday Night and One Saturday Night. Take your shower as the sun is going down, you'll feel fresh all evening and into the early morning during the late night shows. If you take your shower during the day you will just get all sweaty and nasty again.
Oh yeah, and bring a towel, they are not provided. And don't expect free shampoo, conditioner, etc. that they advertise. They ran out after two days last year. All they had left was styling gel.
Pay showers? Wha?? The last time I was at Roo they had water trailers... Like rows of sinks in something that was dropped off by truck. Are they still there???? I was expecting 4 days of sink baths....

The showers are sponsored by Garnier-Fructis. They have HOT water and real shower stalls with shower curtains inside a trailer.
Ooohhh OK, That's cool. I'll be sure to get a real shower (or two) over the weekend. I just like the idea of not paying every time I need a cool down/stink suppression/ shave...
I'm still a big fan of the free cold water troughs. In the TN heat I'd rather take a cold bath even if it is from a sink.
I'm with BF's idea of taking a bath every night as the sun goes down. It will make you feel better than any party favors at Roo. And get you energized for the Roo night's.
Yeah, I'm going to remember that sunset shower tip. I never thought about it, but it makes perfect sense. I'll probably only take one or two while I'm there, at $10 a pop. All other times I need to cool down, I'll just head to the fountain or the misting tents. And never underestimate the pick-me-up that a nice shower can give you after being out in the heat all day and running on minimal sleep.
I was wondering about the price of showers. Now I know! I think I'll shell out for at least one. I KNOW my husband will take one daily b/c he hates smelling funky and feeling crusty.
