We were hoping to do some car camping as well. We will be at Wal-Mart earlier in the evening but once GA gates open we hope to move over to school if possible and get a few hours of sleep before check in.
so, we screwed ourselves and we wound up with 4 VIP tickets but no VIP pass for our RV, and VIP is now sold out.... has anyone here heard of them selling the RV passes at the VIP gate?
If I were you I would try sending an email to bonnarootix@musictoday.com and telling them your situation. They may just sell you a VIP RV pass anyways.

i don't remember seeing specific driving directions to the school or from the school to the roo entrance on the info sheet - are they leaving that up to us to figure out? seems like, as a previous poster noted, that it would be easy to get tangled up in GA traffic either trying to get to the HS or to the Roo entrance, which would definitely harsh my mellow...
If you follow the directions given you should avoid any traffic while getting to the HS. When you check-in at the HS they will give you directions to the VIP entrance. I would guess that VIP entrance is the same place as years past so police will have the Interstate exit closed which should leave the route from the HS to the VIP entrance clear of any major traffic backups.

Last year, when you checked in, they pulled out a map and showed you exactly the route to take to VIP. If you have questions, ask as you're checked in. But in general, just follow the traffic in and out of VIP. Once it gets flowing, it should all go the right direction. And the VIP sticker on your car should assure that those directing traffic point you in the right direction, as well.
Hi all! First time VIP'er ("Long time listener, first time.....anyway"). My wife and I are staying at the Jameson Inn in Dechard. Do we have to go to the school to check in first, and then back to the hotel? Or does it matter? And does anyone know anything about the shuttles from the hotels to Bonnaroo? If these questions have been asked, could someone direct me to the right thread? Any info anyone could provide would be appreciated. Tanks much!
My understanding is that there is no shuttle service between 'roo and the hotels. Last year several people thought they would have that, and were suprised they didn't. However yes you will have to go from the hotel tot he check in then back to the hotel. If there is a shuttle you are good if not day parking does not open until Friday.
