Here's my situation. I have a logo for our Vikings Fan Club. It was designed by a club member who has since moved away. So I have no original and he cannot help.
The Vikings are coming to Nashville this year and I would like to have a banner made using our logo. But the logo is too small to be blown up to a useful size.
All I have is a .jpg at less than 100dpi and 721 x358 pixels. It was developed to put on a t-shirt and for the website, not for a banner.
I know nothing about software or modifying the logo. Will it be necessary to start from scratch? Is there anything that can be done to modify th existing .jpg?
Thanks in advance.
The logo is below

I stopped a a local sign shop and they're going to redo it for $20. They're making it a file that can be blown up to any size (.asi, .eps?) Couldn't pass that up. Then I can get a banner for about $45 more.
I've been in Graphics for 21 years and I will say that 20 bucks is a steal for that. The only way I can think of fixing that is recreating it into an illustration. Line work will not raster when blown up . We get 250 bucks an hour for that kind of work. I should farm out work to those guys. Let me know how it looks when you get it.
Oh, and the Vikings suck! I live here, I can say that. Those F'ers broke my heart when I was 12 and I've never forgiven them. Sorry.
The Vikings have broken my heart more times than I can count. Super Bowl losses after 69,73,74,76 seasons, hail mary in 75, the drop in 87, the OT loss in 98, and those are just the BIG game losses. I'm still hooked though.
Maybe I am a masochist.
On subjest: I thought it was too good a deal to pass up. I've done work with them before so they're giving me a good deal.
