May 25 - 31 is the Virginia Hurricane Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday. The fun part is that a good number of things helpful for a well-stocked Bonnaroo camp site are also on the list of what Virginia deems useful for hurricane preparedness! On the list:

Artificial/reusable ice packs
Flashlights
Lanterns
Glowsticks
Coolers
Ropes
Bungee cords
Duct tape
Tarps
Ground anchor systems or tie-down kits
Bottled water
Manual can openers
Cell phone chargers
First aid kits

Thanks for the karma, guys! I'd also be watching for sales on things on the list that week (bet they run some in association with the sales tax holiday AND there should be Memorial Day Weekend sales), plus checking the discount places like Big Lots. On sale stuff with no tax? Yes, please!
