So Built to Spill are doing a couple extra shows after the ATP show in Sept. They're playing Sept. 25th and 26th at Terminal 5 in NYC. And they're playing the whole of Perfect From Now On at these shows too. And if that's not enough Dinosaur Jr. and the Meatpuppets are opening. Tickets go on sale tomorrow (Thurs.) at noon. My guess is this sh!ts gonna sell out right quick.
Well I'm glad I didn't get tickets to this now cause they're doing whole tour playing Perfect From Now On.......

Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
^^a whole tour and yet no dates in the midwest. . . this can't be the whole list. . . more to come, I hope!
Well they have a shitton of dates in Europe after those that I listed. So you'll have to wait till winter if there's gonna be any more after the Euro dates.
Ohhhhhhhh...just caught their set at Sasquatch over the weekend...awesome, awesome, awesome. Hope to catch them in Baltimore, but I think that's around ACL. Always with the conflicts!!!

This idea doesn't really do very much for me. I mean, Perfect From Now on...it's a nice record and all, but is there really some pressing reason that they need to go on the road playing it in its entirety? Sounds a little desperate to me. Honestly, I think it might be time for BTS to start thinking about hanging it up...

Well personally I think Perfect From Now On is their best album, and I think many others might agree with that. Built to Spill usually play close to the same set list every night, and there usually arent' that many songs off of Perfect From Now On that they play. I don't see how this idea is a bad thing at all for fans of the album.

I would die a very happy girl after seeing them play my favorite album live.
And as far as them "hanging it up," wow. Just, wow. They can't "hang it up" until they've lost their magic, and the keep making magic with every show and every album.

I saw them not too long ago in the spring, but the show was kinda meh. The Meat Puppets were miles better than BTS at my show, and I had never even listened to much MP before that.
HOLY HELL!!! What a great show. Then after that.....not so much. This was def. the better of the two times I saw them. They rocked my face off. They played Car as the closing encore and jammed it out something fierce. The guys from the Meatpuppets and Dean Ween came and switched instruments with the BTS guys. Doug actually came down in the crowd right in front of us and watched for a little, then he went back on stage to finish it out. Doug hung around for quite awhile afterwards talking and greeting any fans that lingered. Great great show.

^^^Awesome pics!!Glad you had a good show--I would have given just about anything to see them on this tour--the last time I had a chance to see them-they cancelled the show. . .
Jammed out Car?? Did you see any tapers out there?
