The first one I was with this dark haired girl who was perfect. I don't think I can recall any features aside from her hair color. I was going arounf with her or something like that, I really don't recall anything else.
The second dream all the members of Gn'R died but Axl. I was at the burial and I spit on their grave, as if to insult Axl, I don't know why I would do this. I then pulled a large combat knife out and threatened Axl. From here I think I went back to a dorm room, not necessarily mine. I was being pursued by law enforcement, I think, then I woke up again, freaked out a little bit.
Anyone have any strange dreams? Can anyone interpret mine? could be garbage, but maybe it means something.

I cannot interpret your dreams but I can tell you mine from last night. First, I was part of some kind of team. Some of the competitions we did were athletic and some were academic, but this guy with no arms and no legs kept entering the competitions. I know at one point he was playing tennis by holding the racket in his mouth. Then, we went out after the competition to eat. When we were getting ready to leave, our waiter insisted that he call a cab for us. I got mad because we'd hardly been drinking (I think I had a beer and a half), and we explained to him that we weren't driving. I remember telling him that we were staying at the Holiday Inn on the other side of the Henley Street Bridge (which is in Knoxville, TN . . . also, it wasn't a real restaurant, but I know from the surroundings that we were on the same side of the Henley Street Bridge that the Holiday Inn is on, except in the dream, I could see the Holiday Inn on the other side of the bridge). So, I got really mad, and I got up to start looking for a manager. When the manager came, he started yelling at me about how we tried to skip out on a $231 ticket. Then, it skipped over to a new part of the dream, and I was helping to renovate this new fast-food place. All the walls were this really wierd bumpy texture, and we were trying to figure out how to flatten them out. We ended up rolling out big squares of that sticky stuff that I used to put up posters when I was in middle school. Also, we were trying to figure out what color to paint the walls. We decided on bright yellow, so we were looking for something the right color to take to Lowe's so that they could match it, but we couldn't find anything that was the right color. And I asked someone (who is actually my boss in real life) what she thought about doing three walls yellow and then having an accent wall, but she thought that was a terrible idea. Later, I became very bossy and sort of took over (my boss was gone at this point). I left for awhile, and when I came back, everyone was gone. I realized that I had been kind of b*tchy, so I called this one girl (who in real life I went to school with and haven't seen for more than ten years), and her mom answered the phone and started yelling at me about how I'd been acting. That's all I remember before I woke up.
So, basically, I spent all night getting yelled at! ;D
I can't get much from the first one, but in the GnR dream consider the band members to be aspects of yourself. Some less significant aspects (unless you're a Slash, Stinson fan) needed to die and be let go of, but a significant part of yourself is still around, and you're not comfortable with that. Axl being the front man makes me think that there's some element of your external persona that you'd like to change but something (the law enforcement) is stopping you.
For good Jungian dreamwork explained simply with a step by step guide to doing your own dream and active imagination work, I highly recommend Robert A Johnson's book. The title escapes me, I'll post it up when I get home.
Some of you guys have heard me tell this dream before from a few years ago:
I was sitting on an old London bus (I grew up in London). These buses had benches running laterally so you'd face the people opposite and I was facing The Ramones. I tried to talk to Joey, but he just hid behind his hair and wouldn't talk to me, though the other three would.
Next morning I woke to the news that Joey had died overnight; I had no idea that he'd even been sick.
i barely ever remember my dreams but i had 2 similar dreams last night that i remembered pretty clearly this morning for a change.
the first one i'm sitting in a classroom and i can't read what the teacher is writing on the board because its too small and just looks like its some bizarre language, but for some reason everyone else around me totally gets it and no matter how many questions i ask, i can't understand or read it.
the second one i'm at home trying to do the first homework assignment for a class and while it seems like it should be something really easy, i just can't seem to get the right answers even after spending hours working on it.
as far as interpretation goes however, i'm thinking its pretty straightforward...i'm going back to college after a 7 year hiatus and my first class starts monday morning and i've definitely been nervous that i have forgotten how to learn/study or whatever in the interim.
Maybe I'll throw myself to the dogs, but my back's not to the wall Maybe I'll lay some bricks for the man, but the days just aren't that long So if I settle back and chill will I see far enough to feel the angel's dream? I thought it was the Story of the World!

I rarely remember my dreams too, but when I do, they tend to be VERY detailed.
A few dreams I had awhile back, I could even draw maps and pictures of what was there. They're very elaborate.
The last dream I remember, my friend bought me new Compact Flash cards and a nifty stapler that morphed into some other office-type-widget that I could use for some non-actual-real-life purpose. Then I woke up. Bummer--no free cards for my camera!

Very cool interpretation it sounds kind of accurate for me. I remembered some other details, the graves seemed to be in a clearing int he woods and it was kind of dark out. There was a single grave for the rest of the band and a pretty big memorial as well. On the way back to the dorm i remember going through the trees or something in my car. Does that change anything at all?
I'll have to check out that book too. Is the whole dream explaining thing real big and valid? I mean the description you gave seems to fit in with me I'm very self aware and I have some assholish aspect of myself that I can definitely see but cannot change. So weird.
Is the whole dream explaining thing real big and valid?
I think it is, but not in the simplistic way that it is often portrayed. If you go to any book store, you'll find "Dreamer's Dictionaries" purporting to interpret every symbol for you. What I have found (and what Johnson writes about), is dream work as a vehicle for Inner Work - getting in touch with your own subconscious and, by definition, your shadow side - that part in all of us that we'd rather not face.
Example - if I dream about computers a typical book might say :
"To see a computer in your dream, symbolizes technology, information, and modern life. New areas of opportunities are being opened to you. Alternatively, computers also represent a lack of individuality and non expression of emotions and feelings. Too often you are just going along with the flow, without voicing your own opinions and views. You may also feel a depreciated sense of superiority." - lifted from www.dreammoods.com
However a computer dream would mean something very different to an IT professional, compared to a technophobe or even a third world resident who has never even seen one. This is an extreme case, but the message is that symbols mean different things to different people.
What Jung and Johnson do is to have you look at the dream through your own eyes (perhaps with a trained therapist, but that's not required), identify what appears significant to you and intuit which are the most significant features. That intuition is the very process of getting in touch with the unconscious. Johnson then adds a step to consolidate the message and lock it in as a change agent for your life.
A great start is to keep pen and paper by the bed and start writing down vivid dreams as you wake; even the act of writing can bring forth significant features.
You'll note that I've not tried to interpret your dream further - it's yours and only you can get the most from it. Happy digging!
I heard something once about interpreting dreams and it always made sense to me... take the major aspects of your dream and break it down to it's most basic definition, like if an alien had come to earth for the first time and you had to tell it what something was. When you get down to the basic meaning of what it is it can help... and each person might have a different definition that personalizes the meaning.
... and I have also had inforoo dreams, so I'm lame too ;D

I had a dream where i met becca at camp bisco. I mentioned it in the other dream thread, but it wasnt that long ago. I am sure camp bisco would be completely different than it was in my dream.
I had a dream where i met becca at camp bisco. I mentioned it in the other dream thread, but it wasnt that long ago. I am sure camp bisco would be completely different than it was in my dream.
each one involved meeting different friends from all through my life that i haven't seen in years and them being camped in extremely close proximity to me.
Another involved a comedic car accident in the campgrounds. it was actually a diversion so another car could drive past the cops undetected. The people who caused the accident were none other than Jamie Foxx, Jim Bruer and other comedians and for some reason they were all dressed in fatigues. i remember 1 car was a jeep and the front left wheel had driven right up onto the hood and the jeep was stuck on other car but had not tipped over somehow. bizarre...

I dreamed last night that my mom quit drinking wine, which is funny. Not that my mom's an alcoholic or anything, but I wouldn't expect her to give up wine any time soon.
I also dreamed last night that I broke my Les Claypool guitar string bracelet. I was sad.
And I dreamed that I was at Larry David's house, and Shaq was upstairs, and Larry had forgotten to bring all of the Seinfeld DVDs up to the room that Shaq was staying in, so I was bringing a whole bunch of them up to him, and I had to take this really wierd elevator up to the room. (I watched the episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm where Larry accidentally trips Shaq right before I went to bed last night.)
