I had my heart seeing MMW in Brooklyn a couple days after I get back from rpp(6/19). I have never seen them before and everytime I have had a chance to see them I either have a music conflict(such as Bonnaroo and this situation) or just unable to do so due finances or something else going on.
Then yesterday I got an e-mail from a friend asking if I want to take his extra ticket to see R.E.M./Modest Mouse/The National at MSG which happens to be the same day as MMW. My heart is telling me to see MMW, but my brain is saying see R.E.M just because I can see MMW anytime since they play NY often. What would you guys do?
REM at MSG for sure. That's just because I've never seen Modest Mouse or REM and I've never seen a show at MSG and I've seen MMW a ton of times. The National ain't too shabby either.
I personally would go with MMW all the way, and that is what I'll be doing, Modest Mouse has let me down not once but twice with sub-par live performances and I don't like either of the others. but anyway isnt the MMW show during the day? its prob over before REM even starts.
I was gonna say MMW just because of the title of the thread, but from reading...
I'd go to the Garden. Never been there, never seen any of those bands, I like REM a bit, National interests me at times, and I used to love Modest Mouse.
I dont know, for me it just seems as tho the option is see a band Iv seen over ten times but each one of those times being extremely musically diverse and amazing or go see a band that let me down twice, another band that I kind of liked years ago and a pretty good band. plus how much is that msg show? cant be under 60 bones oh and MMW hasnt played new york since halloween 06, well nyc that is and they have nothing announced for nyc.
