If we get in line to get in around 7 am on thursday, how long would the wait in line usually be. does it pay off to get there earlier than that or should we show up even later than that. Thanks in advance for the imput
Depends on which way you are coming. Coming from Nashville you will likely be directed past Roo to exit 127 and then taken off the interstate and come back up Hwy 41 meaning a few hours in line. Coming from Chattanooga you would likely be in line on I-24 for a couple hours and Exit 112.
Getting in line at 7am is about the earliest you'd want. If you enter Roo before 7-8am you will end up in BFE as the fill the back areas first. After 9am parking is a crapshoot, though odds favor Thurs afternoon as the best time.
I always time it to get to the Roo gate at about 8-9am and have been lucky enough to get decent sites.
