Is it best to camp with your vehicle or to bring everything to the 'just tents' area. We like to party with good high energy people so where should we go? Also, Im looking at the 2005 map, where is the 'just tents' area?
And, has anyone tried not sleeping for the entire festival without massive amounts of cocaine?
IDK i went to vegas for four days and rarely slept. Theres nothing like walking down the strip while the sun is coming up after a 3 day binge. nothing but the hookers and homless to talk to. ahh good times
^^^I am not sure about that one - we have camped with the car the last two years - been out in BFE and except for the killer walk - it was great - it is relatively quiet out there and there are no worries about random people walking through camp and such - but Tent Only always fills up fast so there are advantages there also - close - easy to go back to camp and rest during the day, fix something to eat or grab a cold beer

One thing I did the last 2 years is crash in the movie tent. Here's why:
a.) air conditioned.....really nice b.) couches/floor to crash on c.) when you wake up.......you are already in centeroo. If you're up early enough you can go back to camp refreshed after a few hours of sleep (i'd average sleep from like 4 a.m. till 9 a.m.)
It's a decent idea and something I may do this year as well. That's an option for those who want to party a lot and crash just for a few hours. I recommend it cuz I always woke up refreshed. Just make sure to bring a blanket or sweatshirt

Shit last year I came with money and food and a car. I had a tent, but decided not to even set it up. So basically I got my sleep anywhere I could and it wasn't bad at all. Actually roughing bonnaroo is pretty fun. I met a lot of cool people and got my sleep on under the which stage bleachers, most of the time. When night came around I slept in my car and by 8 a.m. the sun was to hot to be in the sun. So I got some blankets and passed out under some trees.

Being in Vegas and sleeping very little isn't the same as being in 90+ degree heat with high humidity and sleeping very little. Take everyone's advice and sleep some. There's a lot to see, but you'd never see it all even if you didn't sleep the entire weekend.
My opinion on camping is that tent-only is the way to go. However, I've only ever done tent-only at Bonnaroo, so my opinion is definitely not based on a measured comparison of the two options.
