I have 2 cardboard boxes containing a total of 1250 assorted glowsticks. Some necklaces, some bracelets and a handful of 12" gi-normous sticks! Thank you, eBay!
Needless to say, I'm excited!
** If you'll be at Tiesto and/or Disco Biscuits, expect one hell of a glowstick war!

Hide them well on your way into Bonnaroo - or they may be confiscated - they took 400 from me last year

like justmeg said hide them well. Best tip is not make them glow until you get into centeroo. Last year they took the few we had glowing already but ppl walking right in front of their faces beyond the gate were walking around twirling them like it was no big deal. They don't care once it's past that point.

Mine got confiscated on the way into the farm - they were not hidden at all - this year - they will be
Wait - so you're not allowed to bring glowsticks to Roo? This is news to me - I looked on the official website, but I couldn't find anything saying they weren't allowed.
I'm wondering where you guys purchase your glow items. I can't for the life of me remember where I bought my bracelets for last year. I'm not really looking to buy them in bulk, which seems to be the only way online. Any suggestions?

eBay, my good man... eBay, all the way! For something like $39 I bought a good amount of the aforementioned 1250. Really was a steal.
As for the confiscation of glowsticks @ Centerroo:
I'll take every opportunity to stow them after what I've read here but when I went in '05 and '06, I had two long tubes of the big necklaces strapped to the outside of my pack and I just walked right into CenterRoo, no problem.

well - this is from experience from last year and it may have just been mainly because of Tool being there and Maynard being an asshole - but they took mine on the way into Bonnaroo and I witnessed many people get their confiscated at the entrance to Centeroo.
Note - it did not say anything last year about no glowsticks allowed either.

Duly noted. Man, it would seriously suck if they get mine. But, where there's a will, there's a way... I'm going into stealth mode when it comes to CenterRoo this year.
i picked up a few necklaces, earrings, regular sticks and a few blinking rings at a local party city store. i paid about 16 bucks for around 20 pieces.
i would assume any local party store would have them not in bulk.

Dollar tree or any other dollar type store has them. I can find the 15 bracelet tubes there and the 8 pack of 1" minis all for a buck.
I swear whenever I read the title of this thread I always see Bikinis and Glowsticks...... ;D Oh, and I'll have a bicycle blinkie on the top of my flagpole!

target has thenm in the dollar spot right now... But yeah, i don't understand why you cant have them... Who has teh answer????
It may have been started last year because bands are sick of them being thrown on stage and there were a few bands last year that specifically prohibited them from their shows - Tool for one - Maynard even requested that no one be allowed to bring cameras in.

I'm planning to bring bracelets and rings into MSTRKRFT and Tiesto. I'm not really sure how I'm going to sneak them all in yet, but I'll figure it out. Anything to make the latenight even better.

i dont think they are gonna take away your blinky and glowy stuff that your wearing. only the obviously hard glowsticks and stuff your gonna throw or stuff that may look like your going to sell.
