I just found out that David Byrne is going to be playing at Chastain Park Ampitheatre in Atlanta on September 20. To get tickets now, you have to buy tickets to at least three shows in a summer concert series. Otherwise, tickets to individual shows go on sale through Ticketmaster in July. I couldn't wait, so I got tickets to David Byrne, Willie Nelson and B.B. King (would have gotten those anyway), and Lyle Lovett (would probably not have gotten these, but I think it will be a fun show).

I've heard that there is going to be a tour with him and Brian Eno, but that's all I've heard is that it is supposed to happen. I've been checking his website and Jambase, but this one is the only show I've seen listed so far.

You don't sound excited enough for Lyle Lovett! C'mon Hilari, the man is one of the best living songwriters, and his Large Band will surely kick some ass live.
Saw last night's show at the Warner in DC. It's been almost 30 years (y i k e s) since I saw the Talking Heads and Mr. Byrne did not disappoint. I caught his set at ACL this year and it was my favorite, just behind Spiritualized.
GREAT show...three encores...highlights were Strange Overtones (opener), I zimbra, One Fine Day, Houses in Motion (got a two minute standing ovation five songs in), Heaven, Cross-Eyed and Painless, Once in a Lifetime, Life During Wartime, Take Me To The River, Burning Down The House.
It was nice to see what is usually a VERY stiff and staid DC audience spontaneously jump in to the aisles and dance like mad throughout the show.
