My firends and I are going to be spending Wed and Wed night in Nashville. We are looking to party it up ! Any suggestions on where would be the best place to stay to be in the middle of the night life ? Cool bars , music venues, thing we dont want to miss ?
I am staying in Nashville on Wed. night but I think I am going to try and sleep by 11. Last year I took the redeye in and didn't get a wink of sleep and started off Roo way tired. I want to be plenty rested and try to get in early for set up before it gets too hot. Have fun though!!!
jim breuer is playing at zanies on that night in nashville.
The station inn is a really cool place to go if you like bluegrass. neat little venue.
There's always honky tonkin at all the little honky tonks along the strip in nashville.
Cafe Coco always has good music, food, and drinks and also an outdoor patio.
if i find any parties going on that night i'll post them for you. i've been going to a lot of bluegrass jam parties here lately in east nashville that are a lot of fun.
Depends on your idea of party There's music to be had anywhere in town, just depends on your taste. The downtown area is devoted mainly to honky-tonks and country-style music... those places can be fun but also a bit touristy. The Elliston Place area is known as the "rock block", good rock music down there nightly. Cafe Coco is in that area too, but they have all sorts of music, not just "rock". I'm not familiar with the East Nashville music scene per se, but they have some cool bars in the Five Points area. All within walking distance of each other, a good place if you want to barhop.
Feel free to message me if you want more info I live right off of Elliston so I'll be glad to fill you in on that area!

How close is this Elliston place to the airport? I'm staying at hotel near there. This will be the first time I'll be in the States after turning 21. I wouldn't mind checking out some of the local rock bands, if it works out.
edit: after looking at a map, it looks like we could take a cab about 10 minutes down I-40 and be pretty much right there.
I work next to the airport, and live off of Elliston, takes me about 20 minutes to get home/to work everyday.
Elliston is the area to check out local rock! State Radio is playing that week at the Exit/In, I think. The End, another music venue, usually has some good local bands. Exit/In does as well but they also bring bigger bands.
Ediger (or anyone else), feel free to PM me if you need any advice or want to meet up while you're in town!
hey last year i spent the day in Nashville on monday...there is a coyote ugly which is pretty sweet they let me hula hoop on the bar..um there are lots of touristy spots but there are a ton of cute little trendy places to shop and chill enjoy it its a great city!

Ill have plenty of time to sleep when im dead ! We pulled the red eye last year and were fine. Thanks for all the advice, now one more question. Where to stay to be within walking distance of alot of partying (the strip ? ) thanks again !
^^ Once again, depends on what you're in to If you stay downtown, there's plenty of places within walking distance, but they'll mostly be tourist-type places.
