So the nearest white castle is 37 miles from the Roo in Murfreesboro. My friends laughed at me when I even mentioned it! I figured it would be roughly 80 miles round trip / 4 gals of gas @ $3.50 = $14!
With current gas prices, how far would you be willing to drive for a white castle?

I'd drive to the one that is about 5 miles from my house, and I do. all the time. Now if only we could get a Sonic in Michigan, I'd be set. I've driven 3.5 hours to go to a Sonic, don't know how many miles it was though.

They are opening Sonics in Michigan! And SOON! Like maybe in a few days. I don't know what part of Michigan you're from, but the one opening real real soon is in Southgate. They are supposedly going to be opening several, but all in Wayne County/downriver.
haha this thread reminded me of what me and my friends did my sophomore year of college.......we drove from syracuse, ny to New Jersey......a lil over four hours to get these damn burgers. We ended up getting back to my college at about 5am the next morning, when I had morning class. Ridiculous, but always a memory of school I will keep.
There are zero White Castle's within driving distance of me, but I only need to drive 3 miles to buy frozen ones! Check your local grocery. Odds are, you could have White Castle's whenever you want, year 'round!
For the record, I prefer Krystal's. But we don't have those either. It's frozen White Castle's or nothing, for me!

LoL this past weekend after a super long night out we all demanded White Castle which was approx 10 miles away and in a *not so nice area* it was about 3:30am and the line was out of the parking lot but there we were.
I am going to smite all who dare to mention those evil Krystals in this thread! And, while white castle is a mear 100 yards from my home (I walk there on a regular basis) before I lived in Louisville I was more than willing to drive 3 hours to eat some whities Oh, and white castle is a "safe place" atleast I think it is in all states but I may be wrong. It is one of the safest establishments though, white castle headquaters is always monitoring the security cameras.

That is awesome! I'm in Macomb, so only about a half hour away from Detroit, and maybe 45 minutes to Southgate. If you see one open around there lemme know please.
Your still young. In time, your stomach will learn to appreciate the greatness of that which is white castle. I will say that my training regiment of white castle from my sophmore year in college has now made me virtually immune to the spiciest and greatest of cuisines out there. Just this week i mixed jamaican, thai, and indian all together for the greatest meal ever (and I always ask the chef to make it extra spicey). If anyone is interested in going through a similar training regiment: 4 Whities w/cheese, 1 bacon cheeseburger, 3 Mozarella sticks, onions rings, chicken rings, and steal a couple of your friend's french fries. This must be consumed no earlier than 2am everynight before bed.
Edit: Oh and I almost forgot, If you eat at white castle you are REQUIRED to drink a big red. I hate big red but it must be drank when at white castle!
Okay, I answered the poll as though it said Krystal, b/c really I don't eat White Castle but I have a sick obsession with Krystal (both literally, and sometimes sadly, physically ) It started in high school when the only things open past midnight were Krystal and Waffle House (which I also love, so no haters!). Then when I got old enough to be going out drinking, Krystal always sounded like a great idea, drunk @ 3:30 a.m.
When I lived in southern florida the closest Krystal was in freaking Tallahassee-an 8 hour drive. Now, I'm not saying I drove to Tallahassee specifically FOR the Krystals, but I never drove through without getting some! So hundreds of miles....

White Castle is the single greatest fast food joint on the planet. I grew up in New Jersey and moved to North Carolina when I was 10....where are no White Castles to be found. White Castle from the frozen aisle in your local grocery store is garbage. I can not wait to get to Tennessee in 3 weeks for White Castle and bonnaroo. I will probably stock up on white castle burgers so I can eat them all day during Roo and I will have one final White Castle meal before I leave for NC. Krystal is a poser establishment and I boycott it whenever I see one when I visit New Jersey periodically throughout the year. God I am hungry for some White Castle right now. I'm seriously burgin. All of you people who diss White Castle can go to hell.

Becca....you haven't lived until you've sunk your teeth into one of those tiny square burgers with the perfect blend of ketchup, tiny onions, and succulent juices. This White Castle thread has overcame the roo sex thread as the thread that peaks my interest the most....and that is no easy task. God Bless the USA, God Bless Bonnaroo, and God Bless White Castle.

I appreciate the karma but i have come to terms with the fact that I will never get back to the coveted 0 mark again. Exactly 3 weeks from today I will be filling up on white castle and getting ready to enjoy my first stint at bonnaroo.
