Sorry if this has been posted before--I searched the forums but to no avail.
I was talking with a friend last night who had just come back to Illinois from a road trip to the south. When I told her I was going to Tennessee next month she told me to make sure I check out a completely wind powered coffee shop off of I-24. She couldn't remember what town it was in, but a quick google search gave me the following address: Jo Jo's Java Wind Powered Coffeehouse 8478 Murfreesboro Hwy Manchester, TN 37349 It's evidently a newish establishment (late last year?), and it would be wonderful if we could stop by and support this business. I tried to find a menu or website, but couldn't. I was told by my friend that the coffee was great and the people who ran it were extremely kind. Sounds like a great pick-me-up before heading for the line into Bonnaroo or a pit-stop before hitting the road home.
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
This looks very cool.... Thanks for the info.... My group will have to check this out on Wednesday evening before we head to the Wal-Mart pre-party. We would much rather support a local coffee shop than Starbucks.
That is on Hwy 41, that runs parallel to I-24. If you get off Exit 105 and head down Hwy 41 AWAY from Manchester, towards Murfreesboro, you will see it on the Right about two or three miles down. We have been once, its a pretty cool little joint...
