Im so afriad of roo food!! I am in the middle of a cleanse and have dropped 10 pounds and love it but know late night funnel cakes are tradition ahh!! What to do!
Best trail mix ever is the kind with nuts, dried fruit, and m&m's. I always bring it on all day field work trips, and it will sustain you all day. Got protien, fast sugar, and all day good sugar. Great stuff. I don't know what they kind that I get is called, but I usually get it at a gas station.

A few months ago I stockpiled a ton of dried fruit and nuts because of a store closing (75% off of everything) thinking that I would have tons to take with me to Bonnaroo and I think all I have left over now is pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds and raisins. I guess it's a good start to a trail mix.

Don't forget to push those Luna Bars honey!! The peanut butter flavored ones are delicious. Who cares if they are for girls!!

my friends had a slight obsession with the tuna that comes in the vacuum sealed packs on tortilla chips. I don't care for tuna, and stuck with pb&j. I might add that our jam jar was almost confiscated at the entrance because it was glass, but I managed to talk our way into getting it back. close call As for snacks to take into Roo, i usually just brought granola and an apple, then hit up the $1 grilled cheese before bed.
Watchin' a stretch of road, miles of light explode. Driftin' off a thing I'd never done before. Watchin' a crowd roll in. Out go the lights it begins. A feelin' in my bones I've never felt before...
I always make my own trail mix at home, for camping, hiking whatever.... for 'roo it'll be honey roated peanuts, cashews, dried pineapple, dried banana, dried cherries, raisins, dates, love to put the m&m's in there also for that chocolate fix, Clairity, but afriad that TN heat is gonna make things a bit messy I will probably omit them from the general mix and keep in the cooler ! Hommade Hummus, pita chips, salsa, guac homemade of course mulitigrain bread PBJ Xtra sharp cheddar butter eggs cinnamon soymilk sucking candy oranges apples bananas watermelon yogurt
I don't care what you say about me, just spell my name right---P.T. Barnum "As I was walking up the stairs I met a man who wasn't there He wasn't there again today I wish to God he'd go away."
Honestly the Roo food was so good in '06 (last time I went) that my GF and I learned our lesson about packing in anything perishable to cook - no need! We are only bringing in a bunch of snack size baggies I filled with trader joes and whole foods trail mixes, and about 6 Clif Bars. Those things really get old after a day or two, but are good for a filling snack. I'll probably get some Clif Builder Bars as well, more protein is a good thing.
