So, with the no glass policy, how many people are transplanting wine from corked glass to plastic of some sort? While i am a big red wine drinker, the boy sticks with Medieval Mead which is better cold once its opened. Anyone had success moving wine from glass to plastic and it still keeping good and not sour after a day?
We're planning on bringing some vino, but methinks we'll just look for the old reliable Box 'o Wine. Actually, FishEye makes boxed wine, & it's gotten favorable reviews. I just need to see if they box a red. Not really a big fan of the white...

Black Box is fairly good. Even my local hoity-toity wine shop carries it. It's the only one they carry, in fact. Boxed wine takes up less room in a cooler than a bottle, too. Pull the interior bag out of the box and just lay it in the cooler. It will conform to whatever you have in there and take up absolutely minimal room.
If you are completely set on transferring your favorite wine to a plastic container, you'll have a few problems. Keeping it from turning/oxidization will be the biggie. The presence of air is not kind to wine. Particularly if you have it out in the heat at all. You might also end up with an open container issue, if it's in the car (see here for more info: bonnaroo.proboards21.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=13514). All in all, I'd rather avoid all the problems and bring boxed wine.
FishEye no good? Well, I'm game for anything, so maybe I'll try the Black Box you guys are talking about, although I must admit, I treat wine like beer...if I'm going to have a little, I like what I like. But if I'm drinking it to get banged up, after the first few, I can switch to almost anything....actually, I almost think it's a waste to get drunk on something you really enjoy, b/c once you get lit, you're really not enjoying the drink itself, just the side effects.....

Box of wine is the way to go and they really are not bad.
Last year the winery at the entrance to Roo was selling special edition Roo wine in plastic bottles You might want to call them and see if they have them this year. Here is the link to their website: www.beanscreekwinery.com/
I'll be attending Bonnaroo this year and have a question. I recently read on a forum that your winery offers wine in plastic bottles before Bonnaroo. As you probably know, Bonnaroo prohibits all glass, so if this is true - that's fantastic.
If you could provide information on the style and cost of these plastic bottled wines, I'd be happy to post this information. To give you some perspective, in the last 24 hours, this forum had over 4000 people reading it - so this could be some great free advertising. It's bonnaroo.proboards21.com/index.cgi
