Hi, new to 'Roo here and love all the info on this board! Glad I found it before rather than after!
Anyways, I was Googling for "Shabbat Bonnaroo" to see if there was anything for Shabbat on Friday already organized, and saw that the Moishe Mobile people hosted a "Shabbataroo" last year, and it was a great success. Their site hasn't been updated since last year, so I was unsure if they're going again.
Does anyone know if there are plans for celebrating a communal Shabbat at 'Roo this year? I mean, I'll be lighting my candles and making kiddush regardless, and will be overjoyed to share it with anyone who wants to partake, but I'd love to get with my fellow Jewish 'Roo-goers and celebrate together! Especially if someone already has plans for a kosher dinner I could contribute to----otherwise it's Hebrew National hotdogs for me!

Wow, you guys are all super-cool! That sucks that you got shut down---doesn't seem very nice or open-minded! But anyone and everyone is welcome to celebrate with me, and I'll definitely celebrate anyone else's faith with them, too, if I'm invited. Always room for learning and growing, right?
I think that Matisyahu had alot to do with the Shabbat last year....maybe that is why you heard more abou it from last year....i hope you get to observe with other people at the roo...good luck
