A brief message on dmband.com states that, "Keyboardist Butch Taylor has decided to leave Dave Matthews Band. We are saddened by this sudden news but he has our full support. He's given so much to us and our audience through the years and he will be missed."

Having played live with DMB since 2001 and appearing as early as 1998 on the band's album Before These Crowded Streets, the sudden departure comes as a shock. No details are currently available.

I always liked what Butch added, in saying that the jams have gotten kind of stale over the years and the idea of no piano and Timmy guesting on the entire tour has my mouth watering for DMB tour season to kick off on Friday.

also if we have a good little group on here to discuss this seasons shows and set lists we should start a thread to keep up with things, ants is too over whelming for me.

i always liked Weeklydavespeak as far as forums go, but the PURE DMB talk got too overpowering so i stopped going over there...
