how easy is it to find people to bring ya (for a small sum of cash) for rides to the local wal-mart from roo, and is this something that is recommended? I am a Yankee, born and bred in the northeast, so the idea of bumming rides is foreign to me for the most part. also, if need be, can I walk to wal-mart from the festival?

we hitched it out last year, just walked along the road towards the Wal-Mart and thumbed it, We were picked up within 5 minuites. On the way back, we just talked to "festie" looking people in the parking lot and got a ride back in.

me and a friend of mine walked to wal-mart last year and it turned into a huge fiasco with me almost missing tortoise the walk there was fine a little hot but kids selling water along the way(little entrepreneurs) anyways met some folks at wal mart and we started our walk back from the way we came to find out that road had been closed minutes upon our arrival (due to safety concerns with whatever) so we started walking down the interstate only to be stopped by the police and warned to get off the interstate or recieve a ticket so we hopped the fence by the koa and started tucking by that point alot of kids had gathered around about 15 or so and then we get stopped again on some little backroad by some guy in a truck talking about how its his daddys land and we need to get off his property or wait till his dad gets there by this point i am a little agitated and i talk to the guy and he calls his dad and his dad comes over telling us that he understands our situation but he just cant let us through because every year his field gets trampled and his fence gets knocked down and it winds up costing him a bunch of money each year so i offer him some cash and tell him im a diabetic and i need my insulin which is in my tent and blah blah blah i give him this sob story and bam he lets about 12 of us hop in his truck and he drove us to the fence to let us jump over on the way there we all gathered some cash and gave this guy like 40 bucks to carry us like 1/2 a mile but upon reaching the mounties stopped us no no no sorry cant let you though blah blah blah again my schpeel about medicine and such got him on his phone with his superior who sad no no no cant do it they are going to have to walk around blah blah blah but im diabetic so i said which is totally not funny i felt bad all weekend for lying (kinda like calling out of work with the excuse your grandma died when shes really alive bad karma all around you know............anyways) sob story sob story blah blah 15 minutes later these mounties were pulling the fence over helping us jump the fence helped grab everyones beer from wal mart super guys in the end but my point of this whole thing is try and come prepared at all costs try not to leave until monday morning i have a whole nother story about some guy leaving early sunday morning well my friend woke up (after a night of bonnaroo he slept hard) with half his tent run over coulda been bad i tell ya
