Mis Mary bobos is GREAT!! The food is southern style cooking served as a table spread.
There will be people sitting with you that you do not know, they do this on purpose. You will also have an employee sitting at the table with you the whole time telling stories and keeping the company lively. This person is likely to be a senior citizen who knows all about lynchberg.
All the food will be on large plates or platters and everyone will pass them around and serve themselves what they want.
After you leave Mary Bobos, you should try to hit the tour of Jack Daniels....Its really good too, and free.
Thanks. That sounds like a lot of fun. My group now has a pre Bonnaroo reservation at Mary Bobos on Wednesday, June 11 at 1:00 PM. Our plan is to waddle over and take the Jack Daniels tour after our meal.

man, I wish I could go to the Jack Daniel's Distillery. You have to be 21 (of course) and even though I turn 21 next year, it's after Bonnaroo, and I don't see myself making a trip up there just for that.

I have hit up Jack Daniel's a few times already and will be heading back again this year. I also have reservations for Miss Mary Bobo's on monday before heading to Jack Daniel's. I have never heard of an age requirement for the tour. Lynchburg is actually in a dry county and no booze is served on the tour (although they do sell special bottles in the gift shop). I have seen plenty of people below the age of 21 on the tour without issue. If you really want to go and are concerned, I suggest calling the distillery.
