The search function isnt working for me, but ive looked around and havent seen this being discussed so ill ask it here.......Alright, so I got a free VIP ticket but my friend is GA and I want the full bonnaroo experience so im basically just using the ticket as a way to get in the gates and im going to camp in GA. Well, i just saw that there was a separate pick up location for VIP wristbands that doesnt open until 10. We want to get in line no later than 9 AM because thats when we arrived in 06 and had a killer campsite. So i was wondering if id be able to forego the extra stop and just get a regular wristband and enter at the GA gate with a VIP ticket. Any thoughts? Thanks a lot!
I don't know the answer but I know how you can find out. Contact Bonnaroo. I have had to email them a few times and they have always responded within a day or so. The email address is info@bonnaroo.com

My friend and I went down in an RV two years ago with about 8 other people and we were the only ones who had VIP. They asked at the gate if we really wanted the bracelets, and we said yes for the free food and close bathrooms (so we didn't have to walk far from centeroo) and they let both of us in but made us walk to the VIP entrance (not to bonnaroo, just to VIP campsite) let us in and gave us our bracelets. I'm sure that they'd just give you a GA bracelet, but just to be sure I'd email the bonnaroo advisors.
Were I you, I'd have my party drop me at the VIP pickup area. Let them continue on to whereever they're going with all your stuff. Get a VIP bracelet. Snag a ride to VIP with someone else there. Arrange to meet one of your party at a central location and follow them to the campground in GA. You may wish you had access to nice bathrooms, a catering tent, free showers and some of the other things you're saying no to when you give up VIP. Bleacher space for the major acts can be key, if you're short like me. Camp with your friends, but I'd sure consider having access to some of the VIP stuff, especially when it's so close to areas in which you'll be hanging out anyway.
