Give it a few months, in the next round of pictures they will be the cell phone toting, laptop carrying, dissecting the finer points of Lost and what and what an asshole but a brilliant doctor Dr. House is tribe.
I just wonder what they thought of the huge noisy flying beast that took the photo. surely they have seen planes before? err maybe not. I'd be curious to know how they live but from what i understand there is no way to contact them face to face without risking infecting them with our diseases which could wipe out the whole tribe. I say leave them be. They are the salt of the earth.
just read an article and they are aware of the outside world, but choose to remain isolated...they get some basic goods from other tribes who have a little more contact with outsiders...they are on a land preservation, but what threatens them is people coming and destroying the forest...hopefully, they never go extinct

ah, progress! ;D
Don't forget the inevitable diabetes, obesity and alcoholism.
John: We don't even understand our own music Spider: It doesn't, does it matter whether we understand it? At least it'll give us . . . strength John: I know but maybe we could get into it more if we understood it
I really hope no one tries to integrate them into Western society. They know it exists, obviously, from the neighboring tribes where they get their supplies. I say let them choose whether they want to discover our world, don't force it upon them.
I told this guy at work about this tribe and he said that we should reach out to them because Jesus said to go unto all the world and preach the gospel.
