Hey Hey!! All of 3 members of my BONNAROO 2008 crew have determined that they no longer have any adventure left in their souls…and currently, it looks like I will be going to the BONNAROO alone. Kinda sad, huh? It’s awright though…you know why? I make friends reaaaaaaal easy!! It’s a gift…Sad part is, it sure is a looooooooooong ass lonely drive down. Would sooooo much rather have some company for the trip.
Sooooo….I’m posting this message everywhere I can in the hopes that I might be able to assemble a new BONNAROO crew…V2.0…better than the last crew (who will now be referred to forever in my mind, as COWARDS!). I’m coming from Manchester NH, and will consider picking up anyone in MA, CT, RI, NJ, NY or PA. Here’s all my pertinent info:
VEHICLE & TRAVEL COSTS: Reliable, clean, comfy 2004 Jeep Liberty. Last year from Manchester NH, it was like $350.00 round trip. If I can get 3 in on the mission…I’m gonna say roughly about $100.00 in gas each…and that covers the trip there and back
DEPARTURE FROM MANCHESTER NH: Tuesday, June 10th – Mid to late afternoon (you can prolly roughly figure out how long it would take me to get to ya)
ARRIVAL AT ROO: Roughly Wednesday, June 11th – Mid to late afternoon (contrary to popular belief, they do let you in Wednesday)
SITE: Huge 20’X30’ Jumbo BIG TOP tent/tarp, complete with poles, stakes, etc. Usually the envy of most neighbors…but of course they are welcome to share in it’s shade or protection from the rain…Roomy shower tent (ROO is a dust bowl – it’s nice to have the “shower option”)…also have a Luggable Loo, in case visiting the PortOToilets isn’t one of your more favorite things to do. I bring tons of food (fruits, sammiches, shrimp, cheese & crackers, etc.) and tons of alcohol (I’m debating whether or not I should make Scorpion Bowls again this year – last year I shared and destroyed a lot of my neighbors by 10:00 am Friday morning)
ME: I’m a chill, laid back, down to Earth, 420 friendly cat who is blessed to be followed by smiles, laughter, hugs, love, and sunshine…Let’s just say I bring a very unique spirit to the party…Not so different from SHREK…a big galoot with a heart of GOLD. This is my 6th or 7th festival (my 3rd ROO), and pretty much have the festival thing down. I make a great guide for first timers…
DEPARTURE FROM BONNAROO: Monday morning…hey…I’m OK with sleepin in…or not….but soon as we get thangs packed up…hit the road. Usually by 9:00 am
