This was my original plan, but doesn't that count as an open container? The TN law says that open containers have to be in an area not accessible to the driver or passengers, i.e. the trunk. We're going in a SUV so we don't have a closed off trunk. Does anyone think this could cause problems if we do the transfer it to a plastic bottle thing?
if you are that paranoid, maybe buy some bottlecaps that "reseal" the bottle? i know they are out there, but was unable to find a link...
or, you are probably bringing several cases of water, no? if you put your liquor in a water bottle in the middle of a case of water, buried under a bunch of stuff, then do you really think there would be a problem?
besides, unless its changed, TN does not have an open container law as you describe. the passenger can legally drink a beer while you are driving. however, the local town/city might have laws that are more restrictive than the state laws.

Burnett's is distilled in my hometown of Bardstown, KY (along with many fine bourbons you may be acquainted with), so I've always felt a strange sort of loyalty toward that brand. Cheap, yes, but it gets the job done. I didn't bring any vodka the last time I went to Roo, but I think I will this year!
