i posted this yesterday (in more depth ) but after the boards got fixed i see it nowhere so here goes again albeit quite shorter.
i scoured the interweb the other night looking for a sign of future echo projects
i stumbled across this post as i was reading over meatcamp productions web site
"We have found a new home for Camp Bisco, started our environmental festival The Echo Project, added some great new names to our new band management sector, and have officially broken in our ticketing sector UpperHand Solutions.
We are planning on an even bigger 2008, because of the great success of 2007 many doors have begun to open for us and we now have access to an even wider selection of talent, which is guaranteed to surprise even the most veteran MeatCamp fan.
Our goals for 2008 include providing you the fan, with one of the best electronic lineups in North America for Camp Bisco. Providing a new and forward thinking environmentally conscious event with some of the worlds greatest talent and creative art elements. We are aiming to get both of these events planned and announced early enough so that everyone has time to plan on taking time away form their busy schedules to come and enjoy two of America’s most forward thinking events. On top of these two staples of the MeatCamp repertoire, we have several other events and festivals in the works so keep your eyes peeled for upcoming announcements."
no mention of echo except at the top so i emailed them (meatcamp) with the simple question
"will echo project be returning to atlanta? because it was amazing there is no doubt you will bring it back.......... right"
their response is as follows
"Come to Camp Bisco!!!!!!!!!! That is the only advice I can give you. Trust me..... :0"
boo that man for not answering my question and shooting down my hopes and dreams of echo 08

I'll say it again...
I think that's a completely d-bag response you got. Atleast with superfly they usually will give you an answer (not always the one you're looking for...) and then thank you for your interest in the festival.
Could you imagine emailing superfly during the winter asking a simple question like "when should i expect tickets to go on sale for Roo 09" and they respond with "all I'm gonna say is, go to Outside Lands this year... trust me!"
