It's been a long time since I've had a significant amount of hair cut off. With summer here and Bonnaroo coming up, I decided to lighten the load. I am donating the hair to Locks of Love. They make hair pieces for children with cancer. www.locksoflove.org/

I dig the cuts!
When I do get haircuts I always get them at the beginning of the summer so that it grows out some in time for festies... I know, that's weird. But so am I
It's going to take some getting used to. I feel naked.
Oh, I'm sure. It might even take some time for the people around you to adjust to your new look. My senior year English teacher in high school (who was a guy, by the way) had his hair at least as long as yours before he donated to Locks of Love. When we got back from Christmas break, he had less than an inch of hair on his head. That caused more than a few double takes.

Back in H.S. I had grown my hair down to the middle of my back. I went to a school where boys were not allowed to have long hair. We weren't allowed to shave our heads either so that's what I did when they made me cut it. That transition felt really weird.

nice job donating your hair i did that 2 or 3 years ago now i cut off 24 inches of hair they told me i had enough for 2 kids. i wish i had my hair back but it takes to long

same here, sarah. i cut 16 inches off my hair in december and it keeps getting shorter and shorter!must be the butch in us
