Soooo, Zappa Plays Zappa is playing at the Variety, and I can't decide if I want to go. It's the Thursday of Roo, which means that Josh won't be here to go with me. I've never actually been to a show alone, and I'm a little chicken. At 28, you'd think I should be able to handle going to a concert by myself.
Going to shows alone is liberating. Pending on the venue. Someplaces I won't go alone in town ... But that is due to the people more than the venues. If you feel comfortable go. That band won't dissapoint. And you'll be happy you did.

you also live in Richmond... there's a lot of places I wouldn't go alone in that town
But yes... Hilari you should probably reward yourself for earning Josh his ticket to Roo by going to see a show that he may (or may not) be seeing just a few days later
Dude while I was working near Minneapolis, the night before my plane left for Nashville I went to First Avenue in downtown alone and had one of the best times I ever had at a rock show. Just be relaxed and strike up conversations with people. I mean I am from Alabama,1000 miles away from home, and had some of the most hospitable people talk to me. If your into Frank Zappa's work it is 100% worth it to see Dweezil and the group perform.

lol, well I'm in Atlanta, so there are plenty of places here where I won't go alone! Actually, because of that, I've decided that I'm going to take the train to the show, but I'm going to grab a cab back home afterwards. (I've actually been mugged before between my apartment and the closest train station, so I try to avoid being out by myself when it's dark out.)
Josh will definitely be going to the ZPZ show at Roo. That was one of the big factors in my decision because I was going to be totally jealous when he came home raving about it!
