Sorry if this is addressed elsewhere, but about how many showers and toilets are in VIP? Is there much wait to use either? Hot water generally? Fairly clean? Thanks!
They are very nice and there seemed to be plenty last year. Once and a while a line would form, but all in all, not too bad. Think I counted 3 different shower units. They are large cargo boxes that have ac and multiple stalls.
I never had a hot shower, but then I was taking them in the afternoon and didn't care one bit. It was hot out and a cold shower was just dandy. Way better than no shower! Wait was minimal at that time. Maybe 5 or 10 minutes. There were about 8 or so stalls in the women's one. Double shower-curtained, so you had a dry place to hang your stuff. They had those wonky, unbreakable mirrors as I recall, over the sink. Pretty useless. Like shiny metal. Garnier tossed shampoo and conditioner on a table out front. Since they're sponsoring again, this year, I'd presume the same will occur here.
I never had more than a minute wait for the bathroom. There were at least a couple each for men and women. The big ones had about 5 or 6 stalls. The little ones had only a couple, as I recall. But air-conditioned with piped in Bonnaroo radio. Not too shabby! They stayed well-stocked, too.
Showers are not bad, considering it's camping. You need to get there before 7:30 in the morning if you don't want to wait in line. And wear flip flops, it's sometimes a bit slimy and slippery. It gets really, really humid inside, however and nearly impossible to get dressed so it's better to head back to camp to put on clothes. Don't go prancing back, nekid, though. Be sure to keep your towel tucked!
The showers are small and the hot water is hit or miss, but it was great being able to shower everyday, sometimes twice. I did go around 9:00 most mornings and there was a small line, about a 10 minute wait. Not too bad.
Aside from the bathroom trailers, there are also portos in several locations. They were always clean and stocked with TP.
