My boyfriend and I are having to kennel our dogs while we are at bonnaroo, we have 4 and I am really worried about them. My parents were supposed to watch them and backed out last minute. I checked out the kennel and I know they will be fine I am just really worried about them and hoping it won't affect Bonnaroo. We have never put them in a kennel before. I was wondering if anyone else is doing this and if you have any advice how to not worry about this.
My friends are doing this...our caravan even has to meet near the kennel a little before 8 AM Thursday morning. They do a lot of dog competitions with their Jack Russells (3 of them), so I generally assume they know what they're doing. I know he'd rather compromise his accomodations than his dog's accomodations, so that may tell you something about the nature of the kennels.
The people that work in those tend to be animal people. Your dogs will most likely be in good hands.
This is where I hang out when I'm drunk and fiending for Bonnaroo. Lindy asked about one place, Petsafe, and she had a dog for a while, so I dunno. This is some funny shit, though...perfect pre-Bonnaroo Bonnaroo story.

We're kenneling our dogs by home. They're there at least 4 times/year. We call it camp and they get very excited when we ask them if they want to go to camp. They love it there. I wouldn't worry as long as you've met the people who run it and checked out where the dogs will be. They'll be pissed at you when they get home, but they'll forgive you.
we have two cats and they will stay at home and have a friend that will come by, feed them and hang out for a couple of hours to use the computer - so all is good for us
I am a vet tech up plano, tx and I am planning on boarding mine at our hospital. I have no worries about it because i know that they will be there waiting for my return and in good hands. I am not a fan of the boarding facilities that are not vet hospitals because we see a ton of cases come to our hospital from other boarding places, either sick or dog fights. As far as vaccinating for kennel cough (the Bordetella vaccine) most if not all places will require you have it on board even if you get it that same day.
Yeah, pretty funny, before I realized it was you I made all these other posts like "what club are in" lol it never even occured to me that it might be you. We were going to go to petsafe but by the time we called back the rates had gone up, plus they don't allow you to bring your own crates and I'm afraid they would fight with each other at night since they are used to sleeping in their own crates it seems like it would be a free-for-all.
We send our dogs to a kennel that is on a farm. They have horses and obstacle courses for the dogs. It's great for them. They get a good workout while we're having fun. We really trust this place because our chocolate lab had a seizure one of the first times she went and the owner stayed up with her all night long and made sure she was fine.
