Meg is right. Most likely you will end up down Woodland Ave. in Camp Dr. NO or similar. Nice and quiet but a loooong walk to the shows. To better your odds show up after 9am.
got there last year at 10:30 and ended up at Camp Austin Powers as far away in BFE as possible last year, 06' showed up at 8:30 and ended up in Rusty Griswald, another 30 min walk
I just want to be inside the main fence is that too much to ask
HMMMMM - yes - that is too much to ask - I would take your time - stop and see some stuff after the sun comes up - grab a good breakfast somewhere - check out a wal-mart or shopping for last min stuff and then head for the line
They usually fill up BFE down Woodland Ave first (the lower left right corner of the map) to get that traffic out of the way. After that they fill up everywhere at once so it's a crapshoot.

So this is not something I plan on doing but I wondered....After they let ppl in weds. night do they watch them? What i'm saying I guess is why don't ppl that get put in bfe late night move during the night to a better location. We're going in an RV so there are fewer specific spots for Rv's. I'm just thinking it would be pretty easy to move an Rv to another location during the night when the lot isn't even loaded yet.
Does anyone know if they have security watching the traffic that well inside the campgrounds weds. night?
Trust me - there is a constant influx of traffic after then open the gates - the traffic headed to BFE off woodland is strictly one way traffic - on the way in - there is no way that you can go against the flow of traffic

I arrived somewhere between 7 and 8 last year and had a pretty good spot, 10 min from Centeroo if you walk slow. The year before that I arrived at sunrise, and apparently was right on the cusp of the transition between parking people in BFE and starting on the main campsite. I was literally right behind tent-only, 5 min from Centeroo. I think 7-8 is probably when I arrive this year.

She's right. We found this out the hard way back in '06. Got all excited about being one of the first 30 cars in and 'POW!' launched ourselves into super duper BFE. It still hurts to think about it...
From what I've read not necessarily. Many people were not allowed in last time and had to chill in BFE till Thursday.
Chico is right - you can get in the gates and get parked in BFE but they will not let you head to tent only until Thursday morning - otherwise they run the risk of pedestrians hauling all their gear being run over by cars in the dark. Even with rain and stuff - there will still be dust kicked up from all the traffic on the gravel roads to get to the camping areas - that combined with headlights makes for a very confusing drive.

So y'all don't think that ungodly long line will be there waiting to get in? Last year we arrived at about 6 AM and we didn't get in until about 11 (We were in an RV). Are y'all saying that the people waiting in line at 6 AM and don't get in for a few hours will be in BFE?
can someone find me that thread where people said what time they got in line and how long they waited and where they were parked? i looked... but i can't find it. im gonna look again but maybe u guys are better than me
