So I was wondering...do they clean out the Honeybuckets regularly at Roo? I know by the end of a Dave Matthews week-end at the Gorge those suckers are overflowing. I guess I want to know how nasty its going to get? And even though I am in VIP it matters for the whole stench cleanliness emergency pottie situations that arise from drinking too much beer.

I found one "honeybucket" last year where someone had put a cup full of individual hand sanitizers for all to enjoy, that was sweet and if your on this message board, thanks!

Yeah, I've been impressed with how well they keep up with 'em at the 'Roo. We always call the trucks "honeywagons"! I've never heard honeybuckets, but it makes sense!
Glad to hear there's regular upkeep during the festival.
Thanks!
The trucks are called Honeywagons in Winnipeg. I'm tempted to research the origins now
edit: the term honey bucket is in reference to an old form of toilet that was simply an old honey bucket placed under a board with a hole in it. I assume honey wagon just comes from that. A funny sidenote, a honey wagon is also the name of the trailers used by lesser actors in movies. They typically contain the cast washrooms, referred to as "Dezi's Room" and "Lucy's Room". There's some senseless trivia for the day.

i have to agree that the portos at roo are relatively civilized most of the time. one exception for me is in the hottest part of the day several hours after they have been cleaned... bring a clothespin! the best ones i found last year were the ones right in side the gates to centeroo.
Just watch out for the ones in Centeroo during the late-night madness. Yeah. Not so clean
There are definately times that you are thankful that 1 you cannot see and 2 you are too *insert prefered state of mind here* to care
Yeah, the only time I've ever had a really awful port-o-let experience at the roo was about 5 a.m. in centeroo, just before they were cleaned out and just as my "state of mind" was clearing. It was awful. I'm pretty sure I waded in not mud, but pure shit in there. Other than that once, they've always been acceptable for port-o-lets.
