After much thought, it looks like I'll be flying into Indianapolis (or Chicago) from Denver, getting in on Wednesday the 11th, renting a car, and then shooting down to Manchester. Why Indianapolis you ask? Well, I fly on my girlfriend's flight benefits and stand-by into Nashville was a little too tight -- Indianapolis (or Chicago) appears to be a lot more doable at this point.
Obviously, if I could avoid renting a car, along with avoiding the excessive funds and overall hassle of a rental vehicle, that would be ideal...
SOOOOOOOO...
Anyone going to be leaving from, or rolling through, Indianapolis or Chicago on Wednesday morning/afternoon, who would also be returning on Monday, please let me know!
;D
I realize it's a long shot, especially this late in the game, but it would DEFINITELY be greatly appreciated and, of course, I would throw in on gas money, plus, some potential, EXCLUSIVE, festivities! Just throwing it out there -- if it doesn't work out, it's not the end of the world or anything and I'll stick to my current plan!
Man Id love to help you out but im leaving thursday at noon and coming back monday night. I hope you find a ride so you dont have to hassle with the rental car bs.
Options, yes. Realistic options after reviewing the flight loads, unfortunately, not really.
Indy is only more realistic, due to the amount of flights in and out. They fly to Nashville, Atlanta, Louisville, and St. Louis, but they're all very tight, with the exception of St. Louis, which is a slightly further drive and slightly more crowded than Indy.
It's my own fault for not having looked into this all earlier, so I'm not stressing the rental car thing too much. Just thought I'd give it a shot. I'll see you at Camp Inforoo, right, Chef?
I'm camping in VIP. But I'll visit Camp Inforoo. And I'll be at the brunch.
It wouldn't be entirely impossible for me to pick you up in ATL, but I think we're probably both better off avoiding that airport.
Good deal!
As for the Atlanta thing, you're definitely right, all too kind, and the flights are just too close for comfort as far as the loads go. We'll definitely have to hoist a few at Camp Inforoo!
Unfortunately, they're all looking a little tight. And when I say that these flights are looking tight, they're the type that I'd probably roll the dice a little more on, if it wasn't for a fest, with plans, tickets, and all that sh*t.
Can anyone offer a one way ride into Manchester, from Indianapolis, on Wednesday morning/afternoon?
The notorious ccrgmac, has offered a ride both ways, but I'm really itching to get down there Wednesday, and the flights definitely work better that way for me! If I don't have anything settled by tonight, I'll bite the bullet and book the rental car!
Hey, first time poster because I'm going to be a first time 'Roo'er! Anyway, I live in Bloomington, IN which is like 50 miles from where you're flying into. If your other plans don't work out, let me know, it wouldn't be much hassle to drive out early to pick you up. Or hell, the shuttle from Indy to B-town is $20 worst case. But I'm fairly sure I'd be willing to help out. Always have.
Stoked, I hung up my phreak hat in 2000 (save for a re-up @ Deer Creek in '04) but with Phish coming back and the other rumors, gotta do it. Would love to hang out with a veteran who can help me with anything. Heh, advice that one doesn't ask on a message board but to his buds ;o)
Later, email me @ trarobin@gmail.com if you need to talk.
