I don't know but I used to smoke those regularly and my wife would always crack up when I would ask her where my American Spirits were in my raspy old Indian voice.
I am on their mailing list, and they sent a thing out about two months ago (?) that said they were going to be at Roo and a few other things. I think it will be okay!
Thanks for this thread! I was just talking to my roommate yesterday about how many packs of cigs I needed to pack, but if good ol' American Spirit is going to be there, they should keep my lungs nice and tar'd all weekend.
even though I don't smoke cigs, I think it's a little bogus that you have to be 21 to enter the tent.
Does anyone know why it's like that when the legal smoking age for tobacco products in TN is 18?
I think it has something to do with tobacco promotions or something like that. Like you can buy cigs at 18, but tobacco companies can't have targetted advertising toward you until you're 21? I asked them about it one year, but that's the best I can come up with now.

ahh, I see. Still a little strange, but like I said I don't smoke cigarettes but I'll be with a ton of friends that do.
I don't think it'll be too hard to get your hands on them if you're under 21. I remember seeing full packs littered all of the grounds after shows which is a waste, so I hope people are a little more conserving this year.
Hehe, I love the American Spirit tent I'm not even a smoker, but I go every festival and get lots of tobacco for my friends who are. And American Spirits are ALL NATURAL, so really, they are good for you right They actually FIGHT cancer, roflmao.....
Yes they do card people. There is usually a line, but not so bad. It's cool though, you sign up for the mailing list - which is fun because they send you coupons and lighters and such - and then you get to go in each day and get some!!! Hehe - last year it was 3 packs per day for free...geez....way WAY more than enough! I think the year before it was a different amount. They have tobacco pouches also, and every kind...like a tobacco smorgasboard!!! (Sweet...never thought I would use that word!!!) There are couches in the tent and chairs and footstools, and a bunch of televisions. You can watch the tobacco process from growth to your smokes! It's kinda neato. Sometimes there are not many people in there either.

You forgot the most important part...there's AIR CONDITIONING! Even if you don't smoke, it's worth it to go in and have seat in the cool a/c. Also, when I was there last year there was no limit. Anytime I went in there they swiped my license and gave me 2 packs. I smoked a LOT of cigarettes last year because of this!

maybe because the festival is also selling alcohol? Or because they are giving them away and its a hold over law from when they used to give free cigarettes to all the people in the military? IDK..
