i posted this in the other forum, but I think this one gets a little more traffic.
is the "RV entrance" that little break in the trees off of I-24 that i say last year? if so, where do you get parked if you decide to go in using that entrance? is there a better way to go about this than just following the rest of the flow of traffic?
I think the consensus has been that the best time to arrive is mid- to late-morning Thursday for the best chance at a good spot. With an RV, it's a little lesser known, but you can be assured of a spot far away if you get there before the gates "officially" open (i.e. Wednesday night or before 8 AM Thursday).

From what I've heard on Inforoo, there are 3 RV parking sites and none of them are really that bad...Anyone been in RV parking to confirm?

the greenish yellow spots were RV camps last year. none of them are terrible except that little on in the upper right. i just want to know if taking that little makeshift "exit" will result in less traffic.
i guess it can't hurt for someone to get out of the RV and ask one of the guys at the entrance, but just wanted to see if someone could drop a little brahledge ahead of time.

^^^We always take the makeshift exit (112) from Westbound I-24. All three times I've been, we've ended up in the bottom left of that map. Camp Vincent Vega or Marcellus Wallace. Only a 5-10 walk to Centeroo. We usually arrive around 1 PM Thursday, and to date our longest wait has been about 2 hours.
^ No, coming from Nashville you will be directed to exit 111 and enter through the Bushy Branch tollbooths. You can however continue down I-24 to the next open exit and get back on I-24 west towards exit 112.

I've heard that this can become pretty inconvenient at "peak" times. If I remember correctly, some people had to go all the way to exit 127 or something like that, and THEN turn around and wait in the huge line. This is the reason that we come down 75 to Chattanooga and then back up to Roo.
11/2/19: Tool 5/17/19: Blues Traveler 5/9/19: Tool 11/10/18: Tenacious D 9/20/18: White Denim 7/23/18: Radiohead 6/4/18: Jack White 5/20/18: Tool 5/18/18: A Perfect Circle 5/18/18: Alice in Chains 5/6/18: Blind Melon
So if we're RV'ing and coming in from Nashville way would it be better to drive past Bonnaroo on I-24 and spend the night down the road and then drive back on the westbound I-24 Thursday morning? That way we'd miss all the crazy traffic and then get in at exit 112.
