Two things...
1) There is currently road work around mile markers 128-123 southbound in I-81. Not only does this make for annoying traffic congestions during the day (reducing speed limit from 65 to 45...) but I've noticed in the past week that this has become the new hangout spot for UC's and motorcycle cops who like to sit behind guardrails and hide while checking your speed. I've seen people pulled over literally every day I've driven by there on my way to work, and fines in workzones are doubled that of what is normal in VA... so just watch out, and respect the annoying work zone speed limit reductions.
2) On a lighter note, I literally live 5 minutes off of I-81 exit 150. Well, my mom whom I'm currently living with for the time being does. If anyone is driving by at a reasonable hour and would like to stop for a beer or two, or a visit to the cornfields ( ) I would be more than happy to take you to a bar and/or coffee shop if you prefer and you can take a break from the long drive ahead of you. Unfortunately, since I'm living with my mom right now, I don't stay out as late as I would like to during the workweek so I probably won't be available much after 1130 on Wednesday night.
Safe travels to all, and just let me know if I should be expecting any trips to the bar Wednesday night
That is excellent info strum, thanks and karma. I'd take you up on your offer, but we're trying to boogie down to the Great Smokies weds night. That does put us through VA just about all afternoon, though. Big help.

well... some unfortunate roogoer passing through VA apparently was not an inforooster and didn't get this memo. It was actually very cliche... as I approached the work zone this morning I noticed a large VW Van pulled over, and as I got closer noticed the windows had crap written all over it, and 3 poor hippies were sitting on the side of the road while a dog was enjoying the inside of their car
Figured i'd bump this because it sure does appear that VA state troopers definitely know what this weekend entails. Safe travels, all
