I was talking to a friend tonight about Roo and our plans, and I said I was planning on bringing a generator in the back of my truck to plug up some box fans at night. He said he wasn't sure if I was allowed to bring one in and it would definitely suck to have to bother with all of that at the gates.

Thanks for info. Unfortunately it is a pretty serious generator, too large for a trunk, so I don't think it will work. Time to check out the portable ones.
I planned on bringing extra entension chords to share with all my neighbors, and was definitely willing to cut it off if it turne out to be a nuisance.

Man, we had some super industrial contractor style generators near us in the RV section last year. You could run a crew of skill saws and other tools on just one gen! Did y'all see the one with the 6 foot tall exhaust pipe just south of Shakedown?

Haha this was going to be one like that. It actually belongs to a friend of mine and when I talked to him about how large it was he said, "I mean, it's pretty big. They could probably power damn half of Bonnaroo off it!!!!!!"
I bought the o2 cool fan last night and it seems to work very well. I will only need it in the morning and possibly in the afternoon if i was at the campsite.

120 is a bit more than any of us would be willing to spend I'm afraid. But good news is another guy at our campsite says he has a smaller one at his house and he's going to check the kw output on it. If it works, hello hot pockets and a cool breeze.
